Kru Jon Nicholas
T1 Muay Thai Proprietor and Chief Instructor
I have been interested in Martial Arts all my life, ever since I saw Bruce Lee videos (thats what we watched before DVDs or Blu ray) as a child.
Since I started training I dreamed of opening my own gym and teaching in my way.
I am now taking the skills I have learned to schools and offering them to the students.
I believe that martial arts should be accessible to everyone not just those that can afford the expensive memberships and uniforms.
Financial situations should never be a barrier to training. The "status" of an individual in society is irrelevant to those members of society that want to do you harm. Therefore everyone should be able to access good quality information on how to defend themself.
My philosophy is simple train hard and you will get the benefits.
The benefit could simply be a good workout which is different to the usual treadmill or weight machine. Alternatively the benefit could only be apparent should the worst happen on the street.
Kru Joe Nicholas
Instructor
I have been training in Muay Thai since the age of 6 and became a full instructor in July 2011.
Due to the build up of exams and my fight schedule I was allowed to take my instructor grading 6 months before my 16th birthday.
I assist the chief instructor during demonstrations and sessions in schools. For now I am concentrating on my fight career and hope to set an example for future students who wish to fight.
In addition to the ring sport i enjoy the spectacular techniques of Muay Boran and joint locks in the self defence element of the school.
