It is considered by many schoolchildren that PE is not a very interesting subject and many schools are considering various options to generate more interest in this subject.
Muay Thai is a dynamic Martial Art which can be very simple to learn but is difficult to master. Simple to learn means the rewards come straight away from good simple techniques. However there are spectacular techniques which the student will want to learn.
The fear is, of course, that the students will use these techniques in the school yard. Martial Arts should always be taught with a philosophy of discipline and respect. If the student wants to continue learning the Martial Art then they also learn to control themselves!
Self Defence
Self defence is a subject which is often misunderstood. There are 2 distinctly separate sides to what is known as "Self Defence". They are Self defence and Self Protection.
Self Defence is the awareness of situations, emotions and surroundings so that conflict is not necessary.
Self Protection is the act of defending ones self, property, and others.
T1 Muay Thai can provide sessions on all of the "self defence" aspects tailored to businessess and schools in association with that organisation.
